The following Memphis City Council members have stood strong for pro-family values. In 2010 they were opposed to legislation being proposed by the Tennessee Equality Project to the Memphis City Council that would have given special employment rights to homosexual and transgender (including cross-dresser) employees. District 1 - Bill Morrison District 2 - William C. (“Bill”) Boyd Super District 9, Position 1 – Kemp Conrad It is anticipated that an effort will be made during the next four years to push this same legislation before the City Council. Early voting began on September 16th and continues until October 1st. Election Day is Thursday, October 6th. |
